Application

Supplying the nitrogen, phosphorus, and prime micronutrients, biosolids application greatly enhances the microorganism growth and activity within the soil.

The Wealing family has been farming for generations. Brothers and owners, Lance and Chad Wealing, continue to manage the family grain farm and understand the unique needs and demands that come with farming. We understand that we can’t control the weather, but we can – to the best of our ability – work to create the best environment to maximize yield.

There are several types of land applications and the Wealing Brothers team works closely with customers to ensure the appropriate solution is applied.

Land Application

With land applications, biosolid waste can be applied at specific, varied rates that will meet crop nutrient requirements. Best of all, it can be applied without harming the environment. This type of land application is a win-win situation. Both the biosolid generator and farm management team benefit from this recycling system.

In addition to supplying the nitrogen, phosphorus, and prime micronutrients, biosolids application greatly enhances the microorganism growth and activity within the soil. These microorganisms provide the “plant food” necessary to develop a strong, healthy, high yielding crop.

Wealing Brothers can help you meet your needs of providing soil nutrients. Our land application services are custom tailored to best work for your land. We offer a variety of options to fit your unique fertilizing needs. For more information about how biosolids can benefit your crops, please visit our resources page.

Liquid Land Application

Biosolid Injection

Wealing Brothers can inject the liquid biosolids into your land, up to 10 inches below the soil surface. This method creates a more uniform application of the biosolids to your land and gives you the benefit of decreased odor.

Spray Irrigation

Wecan also use a spray irrigation method, which works best in some cases and uses standard irrigation equipment.

Spray/Drop-Hose

We also have the option to use a spray or drop-hose method of application. This is best for fields managed using no-till or conservation tillage or for top dressing growing crops.

Dry Cake Land Application

Since each field and crop has different fertilizing requirements, Wealing Brothers offers both liquid and dry cake biosolid application services. Dry cake land application provides a good opportunity to fertilize a variety of crops. With this service, we will deliver the dewatered biosolids to your property and then will apply the dry cake using our standard spreading equipment. After spreading is complete, we’ll incorporate the biosolids into the soil, ensuring a uniform application.
